As Sage's first Chief Strategy Officer, Mel Hu leads company-wide strategy, operational excellence, and organizational alignment, guiding the company’s growth and long-term direction.

With more than a decade of leadership experience, Mel’s background spans corporate strategy and business transformation. She previously served as a Management Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, partnering with Fortune 500 executives to design and implement major strategic programs across technology modernization, enterprise-wide process improvements, and change management.

Prior to Booz Allen, Mel served in client operations at BlackRock, managing a large portfolio of institutional accounts where she advanced initiatives that strengthened client experience, improved operational reliability, and enhanced the scalability of internal processes across global teams.

Mel graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a BA in Economics and holds an MA in International Affairs with distinction from King’s College London.
