Marjorie Ford Smith, CFP®

Marjorie ("Margie") Smith works with plaintiffs to develop comprehensive settlement plans that may include structured settlements, trusts, Medicare Set-Asides, and other settlement solutions. She also designs and implements deferred compensation plans for attorneys.

Margie provides financial planning and investment advisory services through Pacific Wealth Management®, a San Diego-based financial advisory firm.

A Certified Financial Planner^TM professional, Margie considers all options for how settlement funds may be maximized and coordinated with all aspects of a client's financial life. When attorneys entrust their clients to Margie, they know that she will provide comprehensive consultation and, when desired, a thorough examination of a client's general financial condition. As attorneys work to finalize a settlement, Margie and the client may address financial matters such as investments outside of a structured settlement, tax planning, insurance coverage, estate planning, retirement planning, and funding for a child's education.

Before working as a settlement consultant, Margie taught high school and college English.

Margie received her undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and her Master's Degree in British literature from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She earned her Certified Structured Settlement Consultant designation from the Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame University.
